EVENTS INThe Farmers field at Flavours is where it all started. Eleven years ago A small livestock competition and a few artisan food producers held the first of what would turn out to be the biggest county show in the country. Year on year the show has grown and improved and this year will be no different.
There will be a huge display of cattle on Saturday and Sunday, with some of the best prize money on the showing circuit up for grabs. Our Poultry tent will have a display and competition of the finest of local fowl and lots of displays of other animals including pigs sheep and Alpacas. Returning again this year will be Seamus and his Racing Sheep who over the years have raised thousands of Euro for charities at the show.
Donie Anderson will be back again with his team of sheepdogs and their geese to do sheepdog displays.
We will have our usual display of farm machinery supplied by the local farm machinery dealers and our Arts and Crafts Marquee will have an array of amazing hand crafted products.
As usual we will have our Fingal Farmers Artisan Food Hall with a huge display of amazing locally produced foods which can be sampled and purchased and cookery displays using great local produce.
Celebrity Chef will be hosting a qualifying round of the All Ireland Home Cook Competition with a chance to win a cookery course in the world famous garden Ballymaloe Cookery School.
In the Horticultural tent there will be a huge display of local baking. flower arranging and the best of local home grown produce.
